We play this very strange game as people of faith. We take our own thoughts and preferences; we pick Bible verses we can make support position, and we ignore the ones that might challenge it. As our culture has gotten less civil, many Christians think we just need to be nice. Others don’t think the idea of being nice is even necessary if we are embracing truth and getting things done. Is being nice enough, or does Jesus want more from us?
